They started out as a group of friends chasing down their dreams of musical stardom. What they became was a vision of how America was meant to be.

No Boundaries - Part 1
(Scene: a serene pond on a sunny day in rural Arkansas. The year is 2009, and summer has just begun. The title flashes across the screen on the water as the guitar opening of “Falling Slowly” plays. When the lyrics start, the camera pans up and slowly zooms to the top of the hill, where we see KRIS sitting underneath a large tree, playing an acoustic guitar and singing “Falling Slowly.” He is 24 years old and 5'8", with brown eyes, short brown hair and scruff, wearing a short-sleeved plaid shirt and jeans. The scene is alive with birds and insects, and tall grasses and plants by the water sway in the gentle breeze. Whe

(Scene: KRIS' house the next day. KRIS is sitting at a computer, and ADAM and ALLISON are in the back, on either side of him. In between his lines, he types.)
ALLISON: I'm glad you're coming with us after all. This trip wouldn't be the same without you.
KRIS: Well, you guys were right about Ray. He's just as close-minded as ever. I should've known he wasn't gonna change.
ADAM: Don't sweat it. You were just giving him the benefit of the doubt.
KRIS: Yeah, maybe I need to stop being so generous about that.
ADAM: No, it's part of what makes you who you are. Don't let one asshole get the best of you.
ALLISON: Yeah, just think. In two days w

(Scene: outside DANNY'S house the next morning. KRIS, ADAM, and ALLISON are waiting in the silver van as DANNY comes out carrying a suitcase. He goes over to the van, loads the suitcase into the hatch, and gets in the back seat with KRIS. ADAM drives away, with ALLISON in the seat beside him. Behind them, VITO'S car emerges from its stakeout spot and follows at a distance. Cut to inside the van. ADAM and ALLISON do not look back at KRIS and DANNY as they speak.)
DANNY: I see you made it the garage okay.
KRIS: Yeah, the guys there were really nice. Good deal, too.
DANNY: So...do I owe you guys anything? I mean, it's pretty big of you to let

(Scene: a street in downtown Memphis. KRIS, ADAM, DANNY, ALLISON, and MATT are walking along, taking in all the sights and sounds of the city. There are still many people out and about.)
DANNY: What a nice night to be out walking in Memphis.
KRIS: (Smiles) And now you got a song stuck in my head.
MATT: But seriously, can you believe we are actually in the birthplace of Elvis Presley?
ALLISON: Yeah, we totally have to go to Graceland while we're here!
DANNY: When are we gonna have time to do that?
ALLISON: After the auditions. We don't have to head to L.A. as soon as we get our golden tickets. There's a waiting period. It said so on thei

(Scene: that night, in the living room of an apartment. MATT and KARA are lying on the couch and making out; she is on top of him. There is a pizza box beside the trash can in the kitchen.)
KARA: (When they stop to catch their breath) Oh, Matt, do you have to go so soon? We've barely gotten to know each other. (They kiss again)
MATT: I know, and believe me, I wish I could stay longer. But the Star Seekers bus is all the way in Arizona, and I've already missed it twice. I have to go where my dreams take me.
KARA: I'm gonna miss you so much. (They kiss again) And every day I'll think about what we might have been.
MATT: Aw, babe, don

(Scene: the ghost town. The sun is up and shining on the white van, which is parked just outside the rental shop. ADAM returns the motorcycle and helmet to the shop owner and then returns to the van, climbing into one of the back rows with ANOOP and LIL. DANNY is at the wheel.)
ALLISON: Are you sorry that you had to give it back?
ADAM: A little. But maybe one day I'll get myself a real one. You feeling better, Matt?
MATT: Yeah, I'm fine. I just needed a good night's sleep.
LIL: Well, get it while you can, because once we catch up to this bus, we're not getting any.
KRIS: Oh, by the way, (Hands MATT a stuffed Tigger toy) I found this on t
